The vacation question after surgery

Summer's coming, and with it comes vacation plans. But if you're recovering from surgery, you might be wondering: Is it safe to travel?

There's no one-size-fits-all answer, but here are some questions to consider:

• Can you comfortably sit for the duration of your journey?

• Will you have access to medical care at your destination if needed?

• Can you modify activities to accommodate your current abilities?

• Do you have clarity on what to push through vs. when to rest?

The goal isn't to limit your adventures, but to make sure they support your healing rather than hinder it.
