Why your body feels different in hot weather

Is it just me, or does recovery feel different when the temperature rises?

It's not your imagination—heat genuinely affects your healing body. Increased temperatures can cause fluid retention, making swelling more noticeable around incision sites.

Your blood vessels dilate in response to heat, which might make you feel more fatigued. And if you're experiencing hormone fluctuations after surgery, you might find that hot flashes intensify in warm weather.

The good news? These responses are normal, and there are ways to stay comfortable.

Staying hydrated, wearing loose clothing, and planning outdoor activities for cooler times of day can make a big difference.

What's your favorite way to stay cool and comfortable when the temperature rises? Much of my best advice has come from learning from other women!
